About 1Day Sooner UK

1Day UK is the UK Chapter of 1Day Sooner, an international non-profit organization that advocates for people who want to participate in high-risk, high-reward medical studies, including COVID-19 challenge trials.

The UK Chapter of 1Day Sooner works to implement strategic goals of 1Day Sooner that are applicable to the unique context of the United Kingdom. The UK Chapter aims to

• Advocate for human challenge trials in the UK

• Increase participation and interest in 1Day Sooner in the United Kingdom

• Educate, Inform, and Empower those interested in human challenge trials

• Provide recommendations and assist the British government in their protocol for future pandemics

The UK Chapter has two main objectives: Advocacy and Volunteer Engagement. In advocacy, we aim to build relationships with different organisations (such as hVIVO, IME, Missing Medicines Coalition, etc.) In volunteer engagement, we aim to support trial participants in the UK, encourage interest in challenge trials, and inform volunteers.
